True Ignorance

Conservatives, please avoid www.reteaparty.com if you are not an active member.  There are many conservative sites that are still valid and active sites where outsiders are not treated as outsiders and anyone is welcome who want to save this country.  This is not true for reteaparty.com.  I had heard there was a conflict with reteaparty and teapartyexpress and now I know why.

I am not going to get into all of what I witnessed yesterday but it was insane.  I watched a fellow patriot get ran off of the site simply because they posted a passive article about avoiding violent speech which we advocate here often.  This person happened to be my friend but I am not an active member of that site and I was asked to not step in.  A well respected lady on that site began to attack my friend for her post, questioning her principles, purposely mis-representing her views to the group and making fun of her.  This lady who claimed to be a Christian berated my friend for the remainder of the day.

Because of her mis-representation of what my friend said many clueless buddies defended the woman and attacked my friend.  My poor friend tirelessly tried to defend herself but to no avail.  This woman, we’ll call her Bertha, had so little integrity that nothing seemed to make her think she was handling things incorrectly.  What my friend and I both found sad is that some of her actions were out right hateful and yet other alleged conservatives still defended Bertha as if she had some sort of hold on them.  The only productive thing that happened for the entire wasted day is that is that my friend and I discovered reteaparty.com a non-valid site plagued with a lack of integrity and people who care more about their own interest than that of saving this country.

If personal attacks aren’t enough to keep you away, know that the group also talked about doing “whatever it takes” and although they never directly endorsed violence against our government outright, they were fighting my friend on her post against it which some of the language used led both of us to believe that they probably do advocate violence against our government.  I am not saying we may not have to some day but that day is definitely not today.  A lawyer even argued with her about her plea that until a government turns their back on the constitution allowing our military to get involved it would be treasonous.  These people need to be avoided because they undermine the conservative movement and it is people like those that are causing conservatives to be labeled as extremists and possible terrorists.  It is just best not to be associated with those types of people.

There will always be Berthas in this world that need to beat anyone down that knowingly or unknowingly step into their territory.  People like Bertha desperately need the attention they seek and receive and no amount or attempt to reason will do any good.  The truth of the matter is that people like Bertha are not unlike our President.  It doesn’t matter what they do wrong, as long as people give them pats on the back, they are right.  That, my friends, is narcissism at its core.  People like Bertha need to find enemies, make enemies and as my friend said, “crush their opponents”.

Just because reteaparty is no longer a valid site, that does not mean there aren’t others out there that are and have members that care more about the freedom of this country than their own cliques of bullies.  If you ever come across Bertha on any site, you will know.  She is someone who needs to be a leader (although she denies being one), needs for people to worship her and anyone that does not are crushed under the weight of her ego.  Don’t let the Bertha’s in this world discourage you, though.
